About Patti G. Norris

Patti is a mental health clinician at CAPS since September, 2018.  She has worked in a variety of community mental health and inpatient settings providing individual, family and intensive home-based therapy, crisis intervention and clinical case management.

Degree & License

Patti earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology at the University of Arizona and a Masters in Counseling degree from the University of Phoenix. She has been a Licensed Professional Counselor for over 20 years in the State of Arizona.

Role at CAPS

Patti serves as the liaison with the Dean of Students Office conducting crisis evaluations and risk assessments.  Patti also offers brief individual counseling, triage and care coordination services.  She is a member of the UA Campus Behavior Intervention Team (BIT) and Project Lifeline suicide prevention as well as a QPR certified crisis trainer.

Patti enjoys working with individuals of all ages, and cultures, while focusing on brief interventions and crisis support.

Patti uses a solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral therapy approach focusing on individual strengths and protective factors to address psychological vulnerabilities.
