Fees & Insurance Overview

Your Health Care Options

UA Students* who are registered for classes at The University of Arizona do not need health insurance in order to access health care at Campus Health. However, we strongly urge every student to maintain adequate health insurance to cover unexpected medical expenses. Arizona Online and non-main campus students can access care at Campus Health via a daily user fee or enroll for the available healthcare options. We've broken down all of the options available to you below.

This option serves as an ideal bridge for students covered by a health plan where one may have a high deductible, limited benefits, or no coverage for charges incurred at Campus Health. Please note that CampusCare is not a health insurance policy.

Student Health Insurance

The University of Arizona offers a top-tiered Student Health Insurance Plan. Coverage extends nationwide, has an emergency benefit worldwide, and is available to UA Students, Graduate Assistants & Associates, Post-Doctoral Fellows, J1 Visiting Scholars, and J1 Student Interns.

*International Students

The University of Arizona requires all international students on non-immigrant visas (degree and non-degree seeking, resident or non-resident tuition) to carry the UA Student Health Insurance Plan unless one qualifies for an exemption.

Arizona Online & Non-Main Campus Students

Students with a non-main campus designation, such as those in the Phoenix metropolitan area campuses or Arizona Online, can access the services provided at Campus Health after paying a daily user fee.

Commercial Health Insurance Plans

Campus Health is a participating provider to most commercial United Healthcare, Aetna, Cigna, and Blue Cross/Blue Shield plans for Primary Care Services. Contact the Campus Health Billing Office at 520-621-6487 for more information.
