August 7, 2018
For the fourth year in a row, The Princeton Review named The University of Arizona Campus Heath Service in the Top 4 for Best Health Services in the nation, out of 384 colleges and universities.
The rankings are based on data collected from 138,000 students across the 384 institutions on an 80 question survey.
"To be honored by the UA students we serve as the #4 Best Health Service out of 384 Colleges and Universities nationally, representing a top four ranking for four years in a row, is something very special. This reaffirms the commitment to high quality care that is performed every day by our dedicated Campus Health Service team in support of our students," said Kris Kreutz, Interim Executive Director of the UA Campus Health Service.
The health service boasts over 70,000 visits a year and a wide range of services including medical and walk-in clinics, counseling and psych services, health promotion, women’s health, pharmacy, travel & immunization services, physical therapy, a clinical lab, nutrition, and more.
Results from the Campus Health’s own annual Patient Satisfaction Survey conducted in 2018 reveal that 99% of UA students who use the health service would recommend it to a friend.
Long a leader in the field, UA Campus Health became the first nationally accredited college health center in 1978, and has been continuously re-accredited since by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC).
In 2018, the department marks its 100 year anniversary at The University of Arizona.
