Get Involved With Campus Health Student Groups
Campus Health Advised Student Groups
Campus Health Student Groups are a wonderful way to get involved with your community, meet friends, build your resume, and learn about health services! Explore our student groups below:
Active Minds
Active Minds is a student-run mental health awareness and advocacy club on campus! We work to change the conversation and combat the stigma surrounding mental health in our college community. Everyone is welcome!
everyBODY Arizona
Empowering students to challenge weight stigma and embrace body, food, and movement neutrality.
Cooking on Campus
Hands-on culinary classes to give students a unique opportunity to build confidence in the kitchen by creating, and tasting, deliciously healthy meals.
Mindful Ambassadors
Mindful Ambassadors is a peer-to-peer service club housed within CAPS. Student ambassadors receive ongoing training in mindfulness practices, public speaking, and group facilitation skills. Ambassadors have the opportunity to lead mindfulness exercises during presentations and campus events and connect with likeminded individuals!
Peer Counselors
CAPS peer counselors are U of A students who are trained to talk with other students about various mental health related topics. Peer counselors help by identifying coping skills, problem-solving, and recommending campus resources that could be a good fit for their peers. They are provided with in depth training and support to help navigate their positions.
Sober & Thriving
Sober & Thriving is a student group dedicated to creating fun and sober experiences on campus and around Tucson. We help Wildcats thrive by offering a supportive space to balance school, life, and personal goals—while connecting through events, shared experiences, and real community.
Student Health Advisory Committee (SHAC)
The University of Arizona Student Health Advocacy Committee (SHAC) is an ASUA recognized group which supports Campus Health in policy and program-driven organization and serves to advocate preventative health issues on campus.
Survivor Advocacy Student Ambassadors
Survivor Advocacy Ambassadors support Campus Health's Survivor Support Services in raising awareness, providing outreach, and promoting education about interpersonal violence.
WellCat Ambassadors
WellCats work to promote Campus Health services, events, and programs to help Wildcats connect with resources for general and mental health wellness. WellCats often table, host art activities, host therapy animals event, and support with outreach activities.
Cats After Dark
Cats After Dark provides free, late night events on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. These include trivia nights, free movie screenings, mock-tail bars, moonlight hikes, and more!
U of A Emergency Medical Services (EMS)
The University of Arizona's EMS aims to improve the health and well-being of our campus by providing rapid and high-quality emergency response services and education.
Planned Parenthood Generation Action (PPGen)
Planned Parenthood Generation Action (PPGen) is a national network of youth reproductive justice advocates that operate within Planned Parenthood’s “advocacy branch.” Rather then providing healthcare services ourselves, we engage in the advocacy that makes reproductive healthcare possible! Some of the ways our University of Arizona chapter engages with this advocacy is through education, reproductive health campaigns, distribution of sexual health materials, and creating community.
Team Awareness combatting Overdose (TACO)
TACO is national organization that develops student-led clubs and provides peer-to-peer education around substance use, making informed decisions, and up to date research.
