University of Arizona student veterans and their family members (must be a UA student) are eligible for mental health services offered on campus by CAPS staff. These services include walk-in and emergency mental health support as well as initial and follow-up mental health support appointments for brief therapy and psychiatric services. Couples counseling (spouse or partner does not have to be a UA student) is also available. CAPS can help with such issues as adjustment to an academic environment, economic, family and school stress, anxiety, depression and substance abuse as well as other issues that student veterans and family members may need help with.
Mental health support services for student veterans are also offered by CAPS Counselors who have experience working with veterans.
