About Michael Biuso
Michael joined the CAPS team as a mental health clinician in July, 2019. Prior to working in college counseling, he worked in the Arizona state prison system and community behavioral health providing individual, couples, family, and group therapy.
Degree & License
Michael is a licensed professional counselor in the state of Arizona. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Philosophy at the University of Arizona and his master's in Counseling Psychology at Prescott College.

Michael provides individual and couple's therapy at CAPS.
Clinical Interests & Specialties
Michael specializes in the treatment of panic attacks, anxiety, depression, trauma, and existential crises.
Michael approaches treatment from a foundation in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and EMDR. His work is also informed by Buddhist thought, particularly shamatha (calm-abiding) and maitri (loving-kindness) meditation practices.
