About Mia Zamora
Mia is a mental health clinician at CAPS. She has had the opportunity to explore many areas of the helping field including outpatient child and family therapy, intensive in-home therapy, supervision, and program development.
Degree & License
Mia has her Bachelor's degree in Creative Writing and Linguistics from the University of Arizona and her Master's Degree in Social Work from Arizona State University (but the decorations for her graduation party were blue and red, much to her cohort’s confusion).
Role at CAPS
Mia provides counseling and triage services at CAPS.
Clinical Interests & Treatment Approach
Mia takes a multi-modal approach that at its core is trauma-informed and person-centered. She believes that the greatest honor of this work is being a witness to someone’s story.
