About Krishna Bright

Krishna is a Mental Health Clinician who provides triage and counseling services at CAPS. After hours, Krishna loves to be with her family while also spending time pursuing creative opportunities involving painting, photography, collaborating with community artists in performance art and taking hikes with her son who loves nature. Outside of CAPS, Krishna has studied astrology for 30 years and practiced the art of astrological counseling for 15 years. She is working on writing and publishing a book on astrology and relationships.

Degree & License

Krishna earned a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies at the University of Arizona, and a Master of Arts in Counseling and Psychology and Expressive Arts Therapy at Prescott College. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Arizona.

Clinical Interests & Specialties

Krishna's clinical experience has involved treating dual diagnosis (mental health and substance abuse), depression, anxiety, trauma, grief/loss and relationship issues, pregnancy/post-partum depression, miscarriage, and women's issues.

Treatment Approach

Krishna uses cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic development, mindfulness, behavior modification and psychoeducation in counseling sessions.
