About Kelly Kurtz
Kelly is a mental health clinician at CAPS. She's worked in a variety of settings, including community mental health, public schools and as an Instructor and Intern Supervisor at the University of Phoenix.
Degree & License
Kelly earned a Bachelor’s in Music from the University Arizona and a Master’s in Marriage, Family and Child Therapy from the University of Phoenix. Kelly is licensed in the State of Arizona as a Marriage and Family Therapist.
Role at CAPS
Kelly provides individual and couple’s counseling and triage services. She also facilitates the LGBTQIA support group.
Clinical Interests & Specialties
Kelly’s clinical work focuses on a variety of student concerns, including couples/relationships, family, LGBTQ issues, performance anxiety, general anxiety/stress, academic performance, trauma, and transition and adjustment to college.
Kelly uses solution-focused and narrative therapy approaches to help students meet their counseling goals.
