Who We Are and What We Do

In Service of Student Wellness and Success

Our mission at Counseling & Psych services (CAPS) is to help students thrive personally and academically. To do this, we offer direct clinical services to enrolled students, consultation with concerned family, friends, faculty, and staff in service of students, and outreach and education to the UA community.

Who We Are:

The CAPS clinical team includes licensed psychologists, professional counselors, marriage and family therapists, and social workers as well as board certified psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners. CAPS clinicians come from a variety of backgrounds, areas of specialty, and approaches to treatment. The CAPS team also includes administrative and care coordination staff. Together, we provide brief therapy, psychiatric care, group treatment, care coordination, outreach programming, and specialty services to UA students.

All of us at CAPS are dedicated to providing a safe and confidential environment for UA students of all ages, degree programs, life circumstances, and cultures. We know how important school is to you and how important taking good care of yourself is to school.
