Grad Student Support Group

Support From People Who Get It

Meet up with other graduate students and a CAPS counselor for weekly support regarding unique challenges of grad school and other important life areas. Common topics of discussion address procrastination, impostor syndrome, social anxiety, career planning/networking, having a life outside of school, mentoring/leading other students, communication/collaboration with advisors.

 


Summer 2020 Group information:

All Grad Students Group

WHO: All grad students are welcome!
WHEN & WHERE: Thursdays, 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. via Zoom
HOW TO JOIN: A referral from a CAPS provider is required to join the All Grad Students Group
COST: $10 per group session (can be charged to bursar's account)

 

The following groups are currently FULL:

Grad Women in Doctoral Programs

WHO: The Grad Student Group for Women is for women in Ph.D. programs.
WHEN & WHERE: Wednesdays, 10:00-11:15 a.m. via Zoom
HOW TO JOIN: A referral from a CAPS provider and meeting with the group facilitator is required to join the Women in Doctoral Programs Group.  *this group is currently full.
COST: $10 per session (can be charged to bursar's account).

 

Mixed-Level Coed Support Group

WHO: The Mixed-Level Coed Support Group is a coed group for Master's and Doctoral-level graduate students.
WHEN & WHERE: Thursdays, 3-4:30 p.m. via Zoom
HOW TO JOIN: A referral from a CAPS provider and meeting with the group facilitator is required to join the Mixed-Level Coed Grad Student Group. *this group is currently full.
COST: $10 per session (can be charged to bursar's account).
