1. Twist the top off the saline packet like you're turning a key. Squeeze all of the saline into your mouth. Do not swallow the saline.
2. Perform this swish & gargle cycle 3 times:
- Swish the saline around your mouth for 5 seconds
- Tilt your head back and gargle for 10 seconds.
3. After 3 cycles (45 seconds) of swishing and gargling, spit all of the saline into the funnel.
4. Slowly unscrew the funnel, allowing the saline to flow into the tube. Fill the tube between the minimum and maximum lines printed on the label. Do not go over the maximum line.
- If you did not fill the tube to the minimum line or above, spit additional saliva into the tube.
- If you filled the tube over the maximum line, pour out the excess into a sink or garbage can.
5. Discard the funnel and empty saline packet, and screw the cap securely on the tube.
6. Put the capped tube back in the provided bag, and ensure the bag is sealed securely.
